The Overwatch director has split from Blizzard. Overwatch executive producer Chacko Sonny allegedly told employees last Friday that he was leaving the firm. In the recent period, many names were left of the company along with jesse mccree, the chief designer whose name has been mentioned in scandals, and other names were hired to replace them.
Overwatch director parted ways with Blizzard ahead of new gameplay video
While not as much as Jeff Kaplan, who previously parted ways with Blizzard, Sonny is reportedly the figure who filled the void left by Kaplan’s departure. Sonny, who held several high-profile positions for Overwatch over a five-year period, announced his departure in an internal email, and Jen Oneal and Mike Ybarra, who replaced J. Allen Brack as blizzard’s head, described themselves as “a leader who takes care of everything.”
Overwatch 2 is nearing the end of its development phase and the first gameplay video for the game will be released during this weekend’s Overwatch League Grand Finals, one Blizzard insider told PC Gamer. However, a release date for Overwatch 2 has not yet been announced, with the video to be released at this event and the game’s release date also announced.
