Paradox Interactive also announced a new game in its PDXCON Remixed program; Victoria 3, which has been expected to be announced today or tomorrow for years, has finally come to light.
About 11 years after the release of Victoria 2, the series’ followers’ expectations of a new game were also extreme; with the announcement, we have reached our destination 🙂
Paradox’s historical strategy series covers a specific period, as you know. The Victorian series, as its name suggests, is a 19th-century 19th-century series. It comes up with games set in the 19th century. Compared to Paradox’s other strategies, it is possible to say that it is a series that focuses more on population, political relations and economic structure (in very general words, we focus on dynasties in the Crusader Kings and directly on the war itself in Hearts of Iron).
“In 1836, we made a play that covered almost all of the world’s population (around 1 billion people),” martin Anward, the game’s director, said in an interview about the game. Of course, it’s not possible to do it 100% the same way, but we tried to create a structure that was as realistic as possible. As a result, thousands of different communities have emerged around the world.”
The importance of the population and economy is often emphasized in the game. Various factors will determine whether you will succeed, such as your relationships with different interest groups, the route you choose to follow in managing the economy, and the decisions you make along the way. Of course, diplomacy and wars also play an important role in the game.
No release date has been announced for Victoria 3, but it is too early to say. But one detail we saw at the end of the trailer was the kind of detail that would make us smile, ‘Game Pass for PC’ says in the last part of the video. So we’ve learned that, like Crusader Kings 3, Victoria 3 will be among the Game Pass games, so what more do I want:)
