Ukraine-based developer GSC Game World announced in early March that it had halted the development of STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl due to the Russian invasion of its homeland of Ukraine. The studio took a break from developing the game and acted for the safety of employees and their families.
We’ve had more news from the GSC Game World team. Vortex reported from a reliable source that part of its development team has moved from Kiev, Ukraine, to the Czech Republic. He said the administration had chosen Prague to build its new studio.
Pavel Barák, president of the Czech Association of Game Developers, confirmed that the developer is in talks to move to the Czech Republic. Barák said: “I can say that the GSC studio applied at the beginning of last week. They requested help with legal and employment issues.”
