Microsoft made a big splash and made a splash this week by announcing it would buy Activision Blizzard in a $68.7 billion deal. This has led some to wonder whether Activision Blizzard games will be exclusive to the Xbox console in the future and whether they will come to PlayStation consoles.
The CEO of Microsoft Gaming announced via Twitter that he was meeting with Sony leaders this week. In addition, xbox has announced that it will fulfil the agreements when the Activision Blizzard acquisition is completed. He also said their goal was to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation consoles.
“We had discussions with the leaders of Sony Interactive Entertainment this week,” Spencer said in his post. After acquiring Activision Blizzard, I announced our intention to fulfil all existing agreements and our desire to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation. Sony is an important part of our industry and we value our relationship.”
