Earlier this week, GSC GameWorld announced the upcoming NFT to STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl. However, the plan was abandoned after the announcement.
Simply put, NFT’s would be unique elements in-game, and various missions or events would be organized to have them. These owned NFT’s could be sold for a large amount of money.
The reaction from fans following the announcement was huge. The team has previously opted to remove its post about the NFT following the backlash. Previously, Ubisoft took such a step in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.
Players don’t want to see NFT in games at this stage. Therefore, the player communities state that this system is unnecessary.
