Platinum Games, the studio behind the Bayonetta and Nier series, has stated that there are a large number of unannounced games among the works. Platinum Games is also working with various publishers but has announced that it will self-release the mystery game project Project GG.
Speaking to Famitsu recently, Platinum Games executives said they were hopeful about their future plans. Executives said the studio has a number of unannounced projects currently in development, but they can’t provide any information about them.
According to the information revealed in the interview, the company is currently working on a new IP called Project GG and has hired Takao Yamane to head the publishing department. Platinum Games aims to release its games on a global scale, both digitally and physically.
Platinum Games is working on Bayonetta 3 for the Nintendo Switch, which will be released this October in addition to Project GG. It’s unclear if the Nier series will have a new game anytime soon. But one of those unannounced projects could be creator Yoko Taro’s next big game.
