Publisher Square Enix and developer PlatinumGames announced in September that the action role-playing game Babylon’s Fall will end on February 27, 2023. In a new interview with Video Games Chronicle, Platinum Games CEO Atsushi Inaba said he was sorry for the servers’ closure and apologized for the disappointment players were experiencing.
Inaba added: “First of all, I would like to make it important that we cannot comment on certain parts of the games developed with our partners. So regarding the closure of the Babylon’s Fall service, I can only say the following: This unfortunate situation has disappointed both us and our fans. Perhaps you, as players, approached this situation with anger. We want you to know that we are extremely sorry for this situation.
This will not prevent us from playing live service games. We still want to work on games like this.”
The action role-playing game Babylon’s Fall will be discontinued on February 27, 2023. After this date, the game will no longer be playable.
