After EA announced Battlefield 2042, players began flocking to Battlefield 4. Due to the influx of incoming players, EA had to increase its server capacity.
With the announcement of Battlefield 2042, players who want to play modern war games have turned to Battlefield 4. After the servers reached the specified capacity, waiting times increased and the players were not satisfied.
“We were really surprised by the excitement and reactions to Battlefield 2042,” said Straatford, EA community manager. Due to the increased queue times, he explained: “We will continue to monitor queue times and make further adjustments if necessary.”
Battlefield 2042 will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on October 22.
