In addition to Black &white, Lionhead Studios was a British game developer known for developing the Fable series. The studio closed in 2016. By the summer of 2020, Playground Games, the developer of Forza Horizon, announced that it was working on a new game for the Fable series.
Amie Loake, a software-testing engineer at Lionhead Studios from 2013 to 2016 and working on Fable Legends, announced via Twitter that she would be joining Playground Games as a Senior Producer. On the Playground Games team, Loake will work on the new Fable game.
Loake said in his post: “I am delighted to announce that I will be joining Playground Games as a Senior Producer! It would be very good for me to revive this franchise that reigned in my heart. I hope we can make our Lions proud.”
I’m very happy to announce that next month I will be joining @WeArePlayground on the #Fable team as a Senior Producer! I’m excited to be part of bringing this franchise, which is so close to my heart, to the new generation. I hope we can make my fellow Lions proud ¦? pic.twitter.com/vashmy5qv0
