Playstation 5 Console Sales Exceed 19.3 Million

 

 

In its financial report, which ended March 31, 2022, Sony announced that the PlayStation 5 sold 19.3 million units worldwide and the PlayStation 4 sold 117.2 million units.

 

A total of two million PlayStation 5 consoles and 0.1 million PlayStation 4 consoles were sold in the three months ended March 31, 2022. PlayStation 5 sales fell by 1.3 million compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year (3.3 million). PlayStation 4 sales fell from 1 million to 0.9 million.

 

On the other hand, as of March 31, 2022, it has 47.4 million PlayStation Plus subscribers. This is a decrease of 0.2 million compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year (47.6 million subscribers).

 

Again, 7.9 million first-party games were sold in the same period of the previous fiscal year. During this period, the figure increased by 6.6 million. Thus, 14.5 million first-party games were sold.
