Sony Interactive Entertainment has shared details about the PlayStation 5;s system software beta test, which began to be released today. With this update comes a long-requested innovation PlayStation 5;e, which also supports 1440p.
With support for 1440p HDMI video output, gamers with a 2K monitor or TV will now be able to choose this resolution when playing games. Games with 1440p support will get native 1440p output, while games with higher native resolution, such as 4K, will see better anti-aliasing thanks to supersampling that outputs 1440p.
Another innovation that comes with this beta is called Gamelists. Thanks to these folders, you will be able to organize your games more comfortably. In this system, you will be able to create 15 different lists, including a limit of 100 games per list.
There are also several innovations in the beta, such as new social features, the option to compare 3D sound and stereo sound on the same screen.
PS5 beta access will again be available only to select participants in the US, Canada, Japan, UK, Germany and France, as in the previous system software beta.
