Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that playstation®5 (PS5™), the latest generation game console released on November 12, 2020, has sold more than 10 million* worldwide. The ps5, the fastest-selling gaming console in the company® history, outperformed PlayStation™4.
SIE also shared the following information about PlayStation Studios games:
-Marvel’sSpider-Man from InsomniacGames: Miles Morales has sold 6.5 million* since its launch on November 12, 2020.
– 21 of the MLB® The Show™ produced by San Diego Studio, became the fastest selling game in the organization’s history with sales of 2 million* on all platforms. Released on April 16, 2021, the game reached more than 4 million players.
– Returnal by Housemarque has sold 560,000* since April 30, 2021.
-Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart from InsomniacGames has sold 1.1 million* copies since its launch on June 11, 2021.

Special games expected from PlayStation Studios in the coming period include the new God of War from Santa Monica Studios, Gran Turismo from Polyphony Digital™ 7 and Horizon Forbidden West from Guerrilla Games. SIE’s highly anticipated collaborations include Battlefield 2042 from Electronic Arts, DEATHLOOP from Bethesda, Far Cry®6 from Ubisoft and Kena: Bridge of Spirits from Ember Lab.
