Announced in June 2020, Forspoken was announced as the first game of Luminous Productions, a Japanese gaming studio. However, according to the latest statement, the Forspoken release date has been postponed. The studio, formed as a separate team from the Final Fantasy development team, said they aimed to work on an open-world game with the highest quality visuals exclusive to the PlayStation 5 console.
Forspoken release date postponed until October 2022
Forspoken is said to have been specially developed for the PlayStation 5 console and the game will not appear on another platform for 2 years. Forspoken for short is being developed to market the PlayStation 5 console.
In a Tweet from the official Forspoken Twitter account, developer studio Luminous Productions said of the Forspoken release date:
“We have decided to move the release date of Forspoken to October 11, 2022. Our goal for this exciting new IP is to give players a game world they’ll want to experience in the years to come,” the studio said in a statement. We look forward to you experiencing Frey’s adventures.”
