Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that PlayStation VR2 will be released in early 2023. The new virtual reality headset will be compatible with PlayStation 5.
In PS VR2, you’ll be able to see your surroundings while wearing the headset. This feature will be useful when you want to find out where PS VR2 Sense controllers are in your room without removing the headset. Thanks to PS VR2’s built-in front cameras, users will be able to view the surroundings and connect back to the virtual world. It will be possible to switch between these two situations.
With the broadcast feature developed for PS VR2, you can connect a PS5 HD Camera to the console and record yourself. The best way to show your actions and reactions during a boss battle.
The PS VR2 playground can be customised using PS VR2 Sense controllers and built-in cameras. Cameras let you scan the room, while PS VR2 Sense controllers let you expand and further customise the gaming area to suit your play style and room environment.
In VR Mode, players can enjoy VR gameplay with a 360-degree view in a virtual environment. The game will be displayed in 4000 x 2040 HDR video format (2000 x 2040 per eye) with 90Hz/120Hz screen refresh support.
