Microsoft’s gaming subscription system, which has a huge impact in the gaming world and is not limited to a single platform, is increasingly enriching its options. PlayStation Xbox Game Pass wants to strengthen the PlayStation Plus membership mode to keep the competition for the benefit of gamers. For a monthly fee, Microsoft is making pc and Xbox users accessible to a library of more than 100 games, large and small.
Microsoft recently gave this service a free trial and is preparing to include big-budget games like Battlefield 2042, FIFA 22, Assassin’s Creeds: Origins and Ubisoft+ in its system.
What changes can Playstation Xbox Game Pass competition make?
Sony’s chief financial officer, Hiroki Totoki Totoki, made the competitive remarks to inform Totoki investors. He stressed that if they want to release big-budget productions on Playstation Plus on the day they come out, the Japanese gaming giant’s own games should be budgeted for. At the same time, he said, it would certainly lower the quality bar, which the company has happily set high in its games.
Former PlayStation manager Shawn Layden confirmed a Tweet that the Xbox Game Pass model is unsustainable with such big-budget games. Hiroki Totoki, who declined to give his thoughts on the strategies of the competitors at the meeting, says they aim to have appropriate R&D investments and long-term improvements to develop quality products. So Sony doesn’t want to be forced to cut gaming budgets by its investors. However, this means that there will be no playable games on the day they come out, as in Game Pass.
