Pearl Abyss showed us a gameplay video for DokeV, a new open-world creature collection game inspired by Pokemon, on gamecom 2021 opening night, and many of us watched it with admiration. It looks like it’s going to be a hugely successful game with both its chirpy graphics and mechanics.
It’s been said before that this game will be a DVO, but Pearl Abyss points out in her new statement that it’s been abandoned, so we’re looking at a one-man (maybe multiplayer, it’s not yet clear) open-world game. Although the game is still described in the website’s Google cache, “DokeV | Open World MMO – Pearl Abyss” but when you enter its page, the title is “DokeV | An Open World Action-Adventure” is an Open World Action Adventure game.
DokeV’s Twitter account said: “We first introduced DokeV as a DVO, but we decided to move the game in a different direction and changed its genre to an open-world action adventure. No matter the genre, fun, colors and adventure are waiting for you!”
“DokeV is an open-world creature-collecting action adventure game set in a unique world full of amazing stories. Welcome to a glamorous and vibrant world where people and Dokebi live together.”
So while you’ll see the words “DokeV MMO” in the headlines in most places today, know that’s not accurate information:)
For those who missed the trailer or want to watch it again, let me put it this way:
