Both games of the series, which was released as a racing simulation and won the appreciation of the players with their above-average quality, will be removed from sale. Project CARS and Project CARS 2 are being discontinued due to expired licence periods. However, all players who have purchased the game will continue to benefit from all content, including multiplayer.

Goodbye to Project CARS games
Games developed by Slightly Mad Studios will no longer be available for purchase on September 21 and October 3. Therefore, if you are good with racing simulations and you are waiting for the purchase, it is a good idea to hurry up. The developer cites the reason for the cessation of sales as vehicles and tracks whose license has expired. Here’s the full message from the developer studio:
“Due to expired car and track licenses, Project CARS and Project CARS 2 will both be removed from listing soon and their sales will stop. The games will remain fully playable and our players will be able to continue to enjoy the full range of content, including multiplayer.
We will be retiring Project CARS on October 3, and Project CARS 2 will be out of sale on September 21. We have always focused on bringing you the best racing simulation games. As we mentioned earlier, we look forward to the best time to bring the next Slightly Mad projects to you.”
The first game, which was published by Bandai Namco, was released in 2015 and the second game was released in 2017. Project CARS 3, the last game of the series, was presented to the players in 2020.
