One of the issues that was curious about the transition to the next generation of consoles was the issue of backward compatibility. On the Xbox front, though, it’s been a long time since this issue has been off the agenda, but it was curious what kind of picture would be on the table for the PlayStation. After all, we found that there is no problem for the previous generation, ps4 games can also be played in the next generation. Although this is not a surprise, they were already using a common architecture and there was not a huge technical obstacle.
But when it came to the previous generation, it was a little different. Due to the architectural difference between the consoles mentioned before, of course, emulator usage is the first thing that comes to mind for the solution of this work. It’s not that hard either, but for some reason, Sony hasn’t taken any action on this so far.
But now there seems to be new developments in this regard. Various PS3 games were listedfor PS5. In fact, these games could be played with PS Now, but this time they were viewed as available for purchase, and when dead or alive 5, which is normally among the PS Now games, was listed as such, the color of the job changed. Many who have seen this naturally thought that Sony is preparing to do something about it recently, and that PS3 games can now be played in the next generation.
In addition to Dead or Alive 5, games such as Bejeweled 3 and Prince of Persia are also listed. These games are not available for purchase at this time. But you could say there’s some preparation for that. Let’s see when the announcement comes.
