One of the most complained points in online games is the cheats used by the players. Especially in shooter games, we can see that the direction we call wall cheating is used very often. Here is the PUBG Mobile team, which recently released patch 2.2 , announced that the Fog of War anti-cheat method developed for this cheat method has been added to the game. The explanation made and the information given about the operation of the system are as follows;
New anti-cheat system for PUBG Mobile is coming
PUBG MOBILE has officially unveiled its latest security measure, the Fog of War anti-cheat system, developed to effectively combat the use of X-Rays, known as wall cheating. PUBG MOBILE, the first mobile game to use this advanced anti-cheat technology, has started to work to reduce cheating in battle royale matches with this system, which has achieved a drop of over 50% during the testing phase. As the anti-cheat app gradually comes into effect, it will continue to optimize the system to put an end to the use of cheats.
The first of its kind in mobile games, Fog of War is an advanced anti-cheat system that limits the game information a player receives and blocks their ability to see players out of sight or behind walls and objects. The Fog of War system first scans all the buildings and terrain on PUBG MOBILE’s massive maps. Through internal calculations, the system intelligently determines what the player needs to see, and finally, from the server to the player, it sends only the specified information. Information that should not be seen will not be sent, which will allow players to be blocked from using the wall cheat.
In the first app, the use of cheats decreased by 62%
Fog of War was previously available in limited capacity on select maps to test and improve the system. During limited use, in matches where the Fog of War anti-cheat system was activated, the number of x-ray image cheat reports decreased by more than 50%, and the rate of reports in key regions dropped to as low as 62%.
PUBG MOBILE has become the first mobile game in the world to implement this type of security measure on large and open maps, and this security system will be made increasingly comprehensive. From this point on, the Fog of War anti-cheat system will be gradually rolled out in PUBG MOBILE’s game modes, and data will continue to be collected to improve the technology until everyone enjoys a fair, balanced competition.
Cheating is absolutely unacceptable in PUBG MOBILE and this is another step towards preventing players from using deceptive and unfair methods. There is nothing more important to PUBG MOBILE than ensuring that players have a safe, fun, and fair experience.
