Krafton, Inc., the company behind PUBG: Battlegrounds,a ‘Battle royale’ game, announced the acquisition of Subnautica developer Unknown Worlds Entertainment for a fee that has not yet been announced. Unknown Worlds became the sixth studio under Krafton after this acquisition.

The most popular game of the developer team is Subnautica,which first appeared in early access in 2014 and sold more than five million units by January 2020. He also released other games such as Unknown Worlds, Natural Selection 2, and earlier this year released a new production called Subnautica: Below Zero. Krafton apparently wants the studio to diversify the brands the company owns.
Krafton CEO CH Kim said in a statement: “Unknown Worlds has incredibly talented and passionate developers with a unique gift for creativity and a proven track record of building successful worlds. Krafton will make no effort to help them. We not only enhance our development capabilities, but also share our goal of creating unique experiences for global audiences.”
