Bethesda will also show a revaated version of the classic Quake game at QuakeCon 2021. The “revitalized” Quake is being developed by MachineGames and id Software and will also have additional content in the game.

“Quake’s back. In this exclusive, Digital Foundry’s John Linneman will talk to Machine Games’ Jerk Gustafsson about the game’s iconic legacy and what it means. The two will also discuss additional content added by Machine Games to this revitalized version.
From these sentences, we can tell that this new Quake will be remaster, not a remake or reboot. Well, it would be fun to replay the original Quake anyway.
