As you know, the Razer Deathadder series has been in our lives for 15 years with its ergonomic design and performance, which was later imitated by many mice. This series, which has sold over 10 million units so far, is now appearing with the Essential, V2 Mini, V2 and V3 Pro models. The product we’re going to look at in these pages is wireless, which is the second step of this five-step pyramid from the top, and even a product that has completely excluded cable: the Deathadder V2 X Hyperspeed
The V2 X is actually a model that follows in the footsteps of the very successful Basilisk X, which came out last year, and it follows the same concept. This model does not have a cable out of the box and the V2 X does not have any Type-A or Type-C slot on top. As you can imagine, the device is powered by one AA or AAA battery (you can use one battery at a time). After easily removing the top cover, you will find a battery compartment and a 2.4Ghz transmitter. According to Razer’s promise, the mouse has a battery strength of up to 235 hours . When you use it for 8 hours a day with an AAA battery, it is possible to talk about a battery strength of 12 days and when you use it with an AA battery, there is not much less burning when it comes to gaming. Since I used it for days with a battery that didn’t even power the TV remote, I can confirm that the result was extremely successful.
Deathadder V2 X has retained the classic lines of the series in terms of external appearance. Aren’t there differences, of course. First of all, the product does not have any RGB lighting, which is a reasonable choice for a model that is ambitious about battery life. On the V2 Pro model, the DPI buttons on the back of the mouse wheel have been moved to the front and left side of the mouse, just like the first generation of Razer Mambas. It was probably taken so much due to the presence of batteries, but it affected the ergonomics badly. Obviously, it is very difficult to reach those buttons during the battle. They seem to be on the other side of the world.
Finally, the rubber finger rests on the sides are not available in this model.
Razer’s material quality is again extremely successful, in line with what we are used to. Instead of optical switches that most of us don’t like very much, the main buttons include mechanical switches called Razer Gen.2 , which have a press life of 60 million and are based on Kailh GM4.0. These keys have a very satiated feel and a sound of the same consistency. Switches that can be called heavier than Kailh GM8.0. In any case, the double-click champion Omron D2FC-F-K (50M), which Razer previously used as Gen.1, was a huge step forward compared to the switches. The function buttons on the left are also easy to reach, extremely precise and have a very successful feel. There is almost no sponge feeling. I have to say that the wheel is also quite quiet and the consistency of the transitions is successful.
So how is the quality of workmanship? Obviously, there is quite a few rattling sounds for a mouse whose top cover can come out completely, and that comes from the wheel anyway. There is no squeaking when you apply the load on the mouse, I obviously appreciated it, I expected the opposite. Let me end this part by stating that the keys are not loose either, they are not swinging desperately left and right (wobbling).
As you know, Razer is a company that likes to name the sensors in its own way. The optical sensor used in this model is called Razer 5G (who knows how many times) and there is not much lack of performance. Although not a Focus+, this sensor supports 14000dpi sensitivity, 35G acceleration, 300 IPS speed and 1000Hz polling rate , and we are extremely happy with its (1CD) liftoff distance (which cannot be adjusted) that can only be adjusted to 1.2mm. If you lift the mouse a little, the sensor stops tracking, which prevents you from pointing the gun at the sun in the heat of the worst moment of the battle. You can manage this setting and other classic settings on the Razer Synapse 3 , which we all know now and I don’t want to re-explain.
As for the skatezs, the Razer uses white and Virgin Grade PTFE skatezs in this model. I found the performance of skatez average. As I put it, they don’t feel Virgin Grade PTFE, but they’re certainly not bad either. If I said they were like Teflon with water added, would I be too diluted? By the way, spare skatez does not come out of the box.
Let’s come to another issue where the product is ambitious: Connection diversity. Via the button on the bottom of the product, it is possible to connect the product to your computer via Bluetooth or 2.4Ghz. Thanks to Hyperspeed technology, the 2.4Ghz connection via the small transmitter is almost perfect, you do not feel the slightest delay, the performance is fantastic. Bluetooth will save your life when you’re working, or when you want to save battery, or when you’re using a computer (Apple?) that doesn’t have a USB slot. Variety is good, good.
I can’t say that the product, which weighs 85 grams in its empty form, is one of the lightest mice on the market, or that it is considered in the ultralight class according to the reality of 2022. It draws 105 grams with the battery that comes with it, while if you use an AAA battery it will be a little lighter. It’s not very light, but it doesn’t put a strain on your wrist.
The product, which I think is suitable for every hand that uses a palm grip, is ergonomic enough to make everyone comfortable except the smallest hands if you have a claw grip. I was also very comfortable with the hybrid grip and my not too big hands.
After all, the DA V2 X, which is a suitable alternative to the middle pillar who wants to get rid of cables at an affordable price. At the time of this writing, it was available at a price of 800 TL , which is wireless and there are not many models that are superior to these prices.

SCORE: 88
+Price performance successful. Connection options. Long battery life.
-The ergonomics of the DPI buttons are poor. Skatezler well there you have. There is no RGB support but it is a must, I think not.
