Razer introduced a variety of new devices in his presentation at E3; These included the new Blade 14 laptop, raptor 27 165Hz monitor, BlackShark V2 Pro Six Siege headphones and Opus X headphones, but the most interesting and newest product among them was a charger.
Featuring a classic Razer design, this charger is gan, that is, Gallium Nitrite type, and costs exactly $180.
GaN chargers are the kind that offer more efficient power and, in turn, do not heat up much, so their prices are slightly higher than regular chargers. Add to that Razer’s own characteristics, and the price climbs. For example, chargers that offer a similar level of power output can be found in the $80-$100 range.
The Razer USB-C GaN Charger has two Type-C outputs and two Type-A outputs, and a maximum output power of 130W. Type-C ports share 100W of power, while Type-A ports share 18W power. So if you want to use it as a phone charger, there is an output like 5V / 3.6A. If you use both ports at the same time, this value drops to 1.8A;
This charger seems to appeal more to those with rechargeable Razer devices in their home, meaning you can charge your Blade laptop on the one hand and your phone on the other. The wall socket also has inserts that support UK, EU and US standards.
