The popular mode menu Ozark, which also supports Grand Theft Auto Online, which is used extensively in Red Dead Online; was removed as a result of Take-Two’s legal request. Ozark mode allowed players to make modifications for their single-player and multiplayer modes.
Sold for $25 on mod sales sites, it was possible to manipulate the game in a wide variety of ways, from raising money to teleportation and more. The creator of the mode, D3skstool, announced that he had received a legal notice from Take-Two to turn off the mode immediately, which resulted in the mode being removed.
“Despite some of the things that were written in the letter I received, Ozark had a wonderful community, thank you all for being a part of it,” says D3skstool.
Although the mode has been removed, it is still on the list of some more mod sales sites, it will probably be deleted from all of them shortly.
Take-Two has been pursuing various modes for some time, especially the closure of some single-player modes related to GTA 3, which has led to the acceleration of rumors that they are preparing for “Grand Theft Auto 3 Remaster”.
