New World servers, which have been plagued by capacity issues since its recent release, will not be able to create new characters until further notice. This new decision will apply to servers that have fully capacityd (in fact, all servers at this stage) and will continue until Amazon finds a solution to the capacity problem.
Amazon recently announced that its short- and long-term plans are ready for new world server problems.
New World servers are currently fully booked
Amazon said in a statement that characters already created on the full servers mentioned can continue to play. A statement posted on the New World Twitter account reads:
“Following your incredible interest in New World, we are working day and night to increase our number of servers and the capacities of our existing servers. In addition, new players will not be able to create characters on fully charged servers until further notice. When a server’s capacity is fully full, the server’s name will be painted grayed out, warning, “The right to create characters to prevent player overruns has been temporarily disabled for this server.”
Amazon said all of the game’s servers (28 units) are under constant surveillance.
