Capcom Co., Ltd. announced today that resident evil village, the latest game in the Resident Evil series, has been shipped to more than 4 million outlets worldwide (including digital outlets).
Resident Evil Village Has Sold Over 4 Million Copies Worldwide
Released on April 18, 2021, the production also received many positive and negative notifications from critics. Despite this, however, the sales figures also show how intense interest in the series is. Resident Evil Village is a sequel to RE7: Biohazard and features a higher level of action than the previous game. In the production, the cast takes on the role of the protagonist Ethan Winters as they embark on a new kind of survival horror game set in a mysterious, snowy village. Praised for its striking, photorealistic visuals and technical values, including 3D sound, the game also received support from fans for having attractive characters based on traditional horror and gameplay that skillfully balance elements of action and horror. Of course, this resulted in more than 4 million shipments of the game worldwide.
Capcom last issued a bulletin on the issue on March 11, announcing at the time that the game had sold 3 million units. Resident Evil Village, which sold another million units over a 2 1/2-month period, shows that the interest of the players in the production has never waned.
