As I have mentioned in many articles before, I am one of those who enjoys following independent productions. That doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy big-budget games, so of course I’m playing AAA games with great pleasure. On the other hand, I am attracted to the potential for independent productions to surprise.
I don’t know if Itorah can be one of those games that surprises me. But with the release date trailer, we’ve learned that he’s meeting gamers in a month:
Itorah is described as a retro action-platformer inspired by Mesoamerican culture and legends. The land of Nahucan is under threat from the black plague, and our hero Itorah, the last man left, is trying to liberate his land from the clutches of this threat.
Itorah will check out on March 21. Let’s see if he can make his name among this year’s acclaimed independent games.
