Publisher Devolver Digital and developer Terrible Toybox have announced that Return to Monkey Island will debut for PC via Switch and Steam in 2022.
Return to Monkey Island continues the story of legendary adventure games The Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games.
Bringing classic point and click gameplay to the present day, brave pirates will solve puzzles and explore the islands with a revamped version of the classic adventure game controls. With an easy-to-use inventory system, piracy becomes child’s play.
Things are not very good on Melee Island, where old friends and new faces are located. On the one hand, Guybrush wandered around because he could not find The Secret of Monkey Island, while on the other hand, the famous businessman Stan went in because of marketing irregularities.
