Ridley Scott, one of the great masters of sci-fi cinema, continues to make his mark in the world of television. The veteran director’s two iconic films Blade Runer and Alien will soon become television series. Speaking to the BBC recently, Ridley Scott revealed that scripts were being prepared for both series and that they had determined how long both series would last.
Blade Runner is a 10-part series, Scottsaid, “We’ve already written the first episode of Blade Runner.” So we’re preparing the first 10 hours of Blade Runner as a television series.” Said. The studio is pursuing a similar application for Alien and is working the Alien script. Ridley Scott, who says Alien will be a series that lasts eight to 10 hours, is hopeful of both series.
These side sequences, which we’re going to go deeper into in two universes, are, in my opinion, a much more logical way to do it than sequels. Because if denis villenueve or Scott isn’t involved, there’s no need for a third Blade Runner movie. Although Alien has been brought to the screen with many different films and formats, total quality is a serious topic of discussion.
In fact, a live show for Blade Runner was never on the agenda until today. Adult Swim’s animated series Blade Runner: Black Lotus has begun airing. We don’t know how the cast or story of this new series will take shape, but with Ridley Scott involved in the project, expectations are naturally high. Alien has been in pre-season for two years, and now we know that things are going well with the news from Scott. Neither series has an official release date yet.
