Riot Games, the maker of League of Legends, has strengthened its ranks with a significant investment. He bought a stake in the team behind Arcane, one of last year’s bombshells, paving the way for new projects. Thus, the studio will do riot games’ work and make money for the producer.
France-based Fortiche managed to feature Arcane with its drawings and animation type. Arcane, whose famous MOBA is set in the League of Legends universe, has become one of Netflix’s most watched works.
The relationship between the two actually goes back years. Fortiche and Riot Games’ first project was jinx’s first promotional video. The pair, who have been in many business since then, will have become a little closer with this new move. Riot Games has not disclosed the amount of shares it has purchased, but the controlling stake is still known to be in the animation studio.
Riot CEO Nicolo Laurent said in a statement that both brands have been working together for a long time, adding that the decision to buy this stock was unifying for both parties. Laurent added that both brands will continue to operate in harmony.
