Riot Games and Blizzard hit the “lottery” from the same spot
It’s not the first time Riot Games has been troubled by this case. In 2018, another lawsuit alleging sexual discrimination within the company was filed by the company’s employees. The lawsuit said systemic sexual harassment and female employees were deliberately prevented from progressing in their careers.
The 2018 filing also included derogatory insults against female employees and allegations of inappropriate photos sent to female employees.
Kellen Voyer,a lawyer who specializes in video games and internet protocol cases , doesn’t think the current case should go to trial. Voyer says the parties are often looking for a way to settle before it goes to court because of the huge damage they can do to the company’s image if such cases take too long.
