League of Legends producer Riot Games has announced its aim to expand its commercial practices in the Asia Pacific region (APAC).
The company said it would open offices in the Philippines, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. These locations will join the broadcaster’s existing studios in Japan and Singapore.
Riot also appointed Alex Kraynov, the former managing director of emerging markets, as APAC’s new managing director.
The company said the restructuring of jobs in the region would also see a diversification in its publishing-oriented practices.
“Our company recognizes that APAC has the potential to be the largest region in the world for Riot,” Kraynov said.
