Competition, entertainment and games will be presented to Riot’s global audience in a whole new way. Arcane will have three parts, and each section will include three chapters. The series will be broadcast simultaneously in China; tencent video; and globally on Netflix, so Riot will have the opportunity to experience the series together regardless of the locations of its global audience.
Based on the world behind League of Legends, Arcane explores the delicate balance between the affluent city of Piltover and the dark underworld of Zaun. These cities, known as the “City of Development” in Runeterra, are home to many geniuses. But hextech, which allows every person to control their magic energy, can upset the balance. Arcane is designed as an original series with a complex world full of moral decisions, breathtaking animations and intriguing storytelling, even though it includes the origin stories of League of Legends champions.
