Riot Gameshas gone to a major expansion policy by 2021. There’s a collaboration with Netflix not only for games but also for an animated series called Arcane. Riot has signed comic book deals with Marvel before. Until now, we’ve been playing games like League of Legends and Valorant through Riot. However, this has now changed and Riot games are also available through the Epic Games Store
“Riot Games is one of the world’s largest developers and one of the world’s most world-shaking entertainment industry creators. We’re so excited that they chose to partner with us. This will welcome millions of new players to the Epic Games Store.” Epic vice president Steve Allison confirmed the union. Riot games currently available from Epic Games include; Valorant, Teamfight Tactics, League of Legends and Legends of Runeterra.

After this union, the rivalry between Epic and Steam is expected to escalate. Epic has gained a lot of leverage over Steam, attracting two brands that are home to millions of players, LoL and Valorant, to its own app. Of course, it’s important to remember that on the other side of the business are giants like DOTA and Counter Strike. The competition between these two companies seems to benefit us players the most in the long run.
