A Roblox representative said developers and creators made more than $500 million on the platform last year.
This represents a 52% year-over-year increase as the company reports that “developer exchange fees” have raised $329 million in 2020.
Roblox’s developer interchange fees reflect compensation awarded to users in Robux, the platform’s registered currency. It can be used to purchase products on the Roblox platform and can also be cashed in for real-world currency.
