One of the trailers shown on Nacon Connect was the first gameplay video of RoboCop: Rogue City. A surprise was also waiting for us in this video because Peter Weller himself plays RoboCop in the game.
Peter Weller is the veteran actor who portrayed RoboCop in the first RoboCop film and sequel, RoboCop 2. He’s 75 now, but he convinced Nacon Weller to take part in the game.
Weller also voiced the character of RoboCop in Mortal Kombat 11;s Aftermath DLC, but only appeared there with his voice. This time, he also plays the lead role with his appearance.
The trailer of the game is accompanied by the following sentences.
“Welcome to Detroit; The city is on the verge of being ruined, crime is spreading, someone is living extravagant luxurious lives while someone is fighting for leftovers. Control of the Detroit Police Department was given to Omni Consumer Products in an attempt to restore order. The solution is you, RoboCop, a cyborg tasked with protecting the city. RoboCop wouldn’t have felt right without this majestic, role-playing man, so we’re excited to announce Peter Weller coming to play.”
RoboCop: Rogue City will be released in June of 2023, so it’s less than a year away.
