Rockstar Games acknowledged in a message posted on Twitter that the leak that occurred over the weekend for Grand Theft Auto VI, the new game in the Grand Theft Auto series, is real. Rockstar has stated that they are extremely disappointed that details about Grand Theft Auto VI have been leaked to the internet. He also reported that the leak would not cause any lag in the game.
Rockstar additionally reported: “Our work on the next Grand Theft Auto game will continue as planned. As always, we are committed to providing a high-level experience for you, our players. This game will really exceed your expectations. We’ll be publishing more information about the game soon. We will properly promote the game when it becomes what we want. We would like to thank everyone for their continued support during this process.”
According to the leaks that were first revealed by a forum user called teapotuberhacker in the past days, there are more than 90 game videos for GTA VI. This leak includes in-game footage, prototype stages, source code, and more. The leaker states that the videos were downloaded through Slack.
Of course, these videos and content have started to be removed due to copyright.
