According to the report, the Rockstar New England studio was largely dismantled as it was about to complete its long-developed Bully 2 game.
The company, formerly known as Mac Dog Software, which also worked on bully’s remake, was acquired by Rockstar Games and named Rockstar New England. This studio, which is very passionate about Bully 2 and has brand new ideas, has also been a major support for many projects such as Max Payne 3, Red Dead Redemption 2,GTA 4. The company’s shift to these other projects during the Bully 2 development process is cited as one of the biggest reasons that many names are separated.
So while the team had a lot of important ideas for Bully 2 that we hadn’t seen before, the shifting from rockstar to other projects didn’t go to the developers in the team, and there were significant breakups.
