Riot Games made a surprise announcement and announced the romantic dating simulator Valorant: Agents of the Heart. Following in the footsteps of the romantic dating genre, published at the League of Legends Spirit Flower event, we’ll be able to see Valorant agents in different ways. Although the company did not specify it, it was probably announced as a joke –April 1– that the side game would expand the Valorant universe. The official statement made by the company regarding the announcement is as follows;
Valorant: Agents of the Heart will be released for PC in 2021.
Valorant: Agentsof the Heart will be riot games’ first game of the romantic dating simulator genre. This game follows in the footsteps of content posted at the League of Legends Spirit Flower event, winking at the romantic dating genre and thrilling fans around the world. In Agents of the Heart, players will take on the role of a new candidate trained to be a VALORANT agent. Players will try to build meaningful relationships with Valorant agents as they progress through the rugged paths of spy training. For this, they will haveto collect different items, go on dates together and even save the world when necessary.
ANNA Donlon, Executive Producer of VALORANT, explained: “Even before the game came out, we were looking for new ways to expand and explore the VALORANT universe. So when we found ourselves in the romantic dating simulator, everything made perfect sense. Whether you’re a tactical shooter or a romantic dating simulator player, we think everyone can find something of themselves in this game and enjoy getting to know VALORANT agents.”
Underlining that The Agents of the Heart allow us to emphasize the emotions and human relations within us, Joe Killeen, the storyteller of VALORANT and VALORANT: Agents of the Heart, commented: “Our agents are individuals who are alive and trying to express themselves, like actors. We will be able to get to know our agents closely with their colorful personalities, without uniforms and away from their weapons.”
VALORANT and VALORANT: Joe Ziegler, Game Director of Agents of the Heart; “It’s kind of funny, actually. We first wanted to develop The Agents of the Heart as a mode of VALORANT, but then it became a project in itself. I don’t know who came up with the idea first, but at one point he said, ‘We thought it would be much better if it was a separate game.’
