Fans of the Pro Evolution Soccer series are looking forward to the news about this year’s game, which brings major changes to the series. Among those heard so far is that Konami has officially switched to Unreal Engine after many years of using the Fox Engine engine. But a new rumor suggests that all or part of the game may be free.
While PES 2022 is expected to be officially detailed, some rumors have surfaced that the Japanese publisher and developer have made a very important decision for this year’s game. Andy Robinson of VGC: “PES 2022 may come across as a free game when it is released this year. Konami is coming alive and I heard that new things will happen in PES this year.”
It is not yet known whether the game will be completely free or if additional free modes will be offered. Unless Konami officially confirms these rumors, it’s worth keeping expectations low.
