The Division Battle Royale game may have been in development since 2018
However, a new rumor suggests that an independent The Division battle royale game could be in development again. As reported on the Game Mess podcast by Jeff Grubb, Ubisoft will restart The Division battle royale project, which has been in development for some time before. We’ve included the podcast below.

The game is known as Reaper within Ubisoft and may have been in development since 2018. So the new The Division battle royale game project is not being built from scratch. Battle royale fans from The Division players may be happy with the rumors at this point, but they should also wait skeptically. Ubisoft seems to be going through a different process right now.
As we reported, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is being postponed and all four Ubisoft projects are reportedly canceled. It’s unclear if The Division battle royale was affected or even existed. This is just a rumor, and even if the game is in development, it may take some time to be announced.
