Sam Barlow, creator of Her Story and Telling Lies, has been postponed shortly before the release of his new interactive cinematic game Immortality.
Normally, it was announced that the game would be released about two weeks later, on July 26. Barlow said on Twitter that they were postponing the release of the game to August 30, 2022.
“It took the Marissa Marcel films decades to see the light of day, so we’d be happy to spend an extra month polishing the experience as much as possible,” says Barlow.
“We hope that everyone who is eagerly awaiting the game will understand this news and continue to be ready to be immersed in the most complex mystery we will try to answer: What happened to Marissa Marcel?”
Although Every Story was a very successful game, Telling Lies’ scores were lower for various reasons. It’s clear that Barlow doesn’t want to make the same mistakes in Immortality, so I don’t think there is any harm in such a delay.
