Game publisher Scopely has announced a $20 million investment in newly formed gaming company Burlingame Studios.
“It aims to create game teams with incredible talent intensity, where the boundaries between developer and publisher are eliminated” he said.
The developer is managed by CEO Chris McGill and is located outside California. He previously served as vice president and general manager at Glu Mobile.
“We’re excited to work with Chris and his team,” periscopely’s Tim O said.
The investment in Burlingame Studios comes after the mobile game publisher invested $50 million in multiple European gaming studios last year.
