In the last five years, the number of Japanese games on PC has increased considerably. Tales of, Disgaea and Yakuza and many more series came to PC. There are still some gaps, especially the Persona 5, but the future games of Sega’s subsidiary Atlus seem to be coming to multiple platforms simultaneously.
“It would be positive for our games if they debuted simultaneously on multiple platforms,” Sega chief strategy officer Shuji Utsumi said in an interview with Famitsu.
Shuji Utsumi added that they are keen for the Atlus games to expand globally.
Sega and Atlus games usually come to the West some time after they are released in Japan. The latest Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Persona 5 Strikers and Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster were released as multiple platforms in the West, including PC.
