New DLC and next-generation update for Witcher 3 seem to be on the way. At today’s WitcherCon event, CD Projekt Red employees officially announced the arrival of new DLC for Witcher 3. Posts from The Witcher social media accounts were then noted. The new Witcher 3 DLC, which will come with the next generation update, will be completely free. It is also worth noting that the next generation update will be completely free and all Witcher owners can upgrade for free.
New DLC and next-generation update on the way for Witcher 3
The upcoming DLC for Witcher 3 will focus on Netflix’s The Witcher series. According to information about the first DLC to come in WitcherCon, the first DLC will be Henry Cavill’s armor. DLC content based on Netflix The Witcher will be cosmetic-oriented and completely free. And the newly released poster looks pretty stylish. Blood and Wine, the game’s most recently released DLC, was released on May 31, 2016, offering us a spectacular 30+ hour adventure. If we do not count the soundtrack packages released on February 11, 2020, we can say that no additional content has been released in the game for about 5 years.
Witcher 3 will receive its new DLC later this year in approximately five years. It’s worth noting again that the DLC that will come with the next generation update will be available completely free of charge and will feature the theme of Netflix’s The Witcher series. The fact that Netflix in the description section of this poster, which was shared from the official Accounts of The Witcher, is misspelled is some notable. The Witcher 3 next-generation update will be released on playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC later this year.
