Although the DC Cinematic Universe has some very deep-rooted characters, it can’t achieve the desired success on the screen. Captain Marvel, or Shazam, is part of DCEU, one of the oldest comic book characters in history. Although the first film crashed at the box office, it received some very positive reviews, especially as a family film. As we continued preparations for the sequel, we received some disappointing news from fans. In the comics, we won’t see Shazam, one of shazam’s most iconic enemies,fighting in this film.
The DC/WB partnership is already working on a Black Man film starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Maybe it’s a bad idea to confront Shazam early because they’re going to make him an anti-hero. But it wasn’t a bright idea to make Black Man a one-man superhero movie in the first place. David F. Sandberg, the lead actor in the sequel Fury of the Gods,took his hopes of great war to another spring by answering a question on his social media account: “Black Man is not coming, he has a movie of his own.”
- Lucy Liu, Shazam! Fury Of The Gods; Kalypso to Play
- Shazam! Helen Mirren was the chief villain of 2;
The Rock’s longtime desire to play a Black Man played a key role in the arrival of this solo film. I wish we had the chance to see him in the movies as a very high-quality Shazam villain. From this point on, Shazam and Adam will probably have a little friction, just like in Batman v Superman, and come together against a larger enemy. Still, the prospect of seeing these two characters in the same movie is exciting. Shazam! Fury of the Gods is expected to be released on June 2, 2023.
