Siege Survival: Gloria Victis release date announced as May 18
Koch Media and Black Eye Games announced the release date for Siege Survival: Gloria Victis on Tuesday, May 18. The game will debut on Steam, Epic and GOG with a price tag of £24.99 / €24.99 and will be 20% off in the first week of release.
The medieval survival, resource management strategy game tells the story of a group of ordinary civilians trapped in a small castle in a city under siege by the occupiers, equipped with troops defending the castle and trying to keep the survivors alive while desperately waiting for the relief forces to reach an end to this persecution. Build your base, produce supplies, loot the occupied city, and ensure that the surviving civilians can help the last units that resist the invaders, the only obstacle between them and the occupiers, and survive the siege.
There are three main elements of the game:
- Craftsmanship & resource management: You need better weapons, a roof over your head, hot food and many other things to survive; The only way to get them is for you and your team to produce them. But resources are limited and you must use them carefully to survive the siege.
- Looting: You must explore the destroyed city at night, stepping outside the castle’s secure walls to collect the raw materials you need to survive until help arrives, looting abandoned goods and weapons. Open passageways to different parts of the city, include other surviving civilians in your fight, and try not to get caught up in enemy patrols at night. If you don’t return to the castle before dawn, consider yourself already dead.
- Surviving the siege: A few tired soldiers defending what’s left of your city with arrows, weapons, armor; The wounded desperately need treatment. You need to meet and support the needs of the last bastion of the defensive line before the battles that take place every few days; otherwise the enemy will take over the castle. Even if you don’t join the war directly, the fate of the city is in your hands.
All this, along with numerous moral dilemmas, becomes a relentless story, forcing the player to make difficult decisions as he plunders the city of Edring and desperately tries to save the city and itself from the impending apocalypse. Help soldiers or keep civilians alive? Only the player can decide that.
