Ken and Roberta Williams founded the world-famous Sierra Entertainment in 1979 and have signed numerous famous adventure games. Classics like King’s Quest series and Phantasmagoria, which I’m sick of, are always their work.
When they got bored during these two pandemics, they decided to return to the gaming world, and the game they were developing is a remake of Colossal Cave, one of the world’s most famous text-based adventure games.
Colossal Cave was released in 1976 and made a big impact in the gaming world. This new version will take players on adventures in 143 different underground locations filled with dwarves, giant snakes, dragons, bears.
“We have completely recreated Colossal Cave for the millions of fans who grew up with this game and for the next generation of players. It will be set entirely in yellowing 3D and VR environments for a realistic cave exploration experience,” says Ken Williams. So from here we can understand that the game is being developed for PC and VR.
The Colossal Cave 3D will be the williams family’s first game after their 20-year break. You can follow the game developments at Colossal Cave 3D Adventure .
