Codeless Studio shared footage of the fan-made Silent Hill Remake, which shows what a modern look at the classic horror game would look like using Unreal Engine 5.
Silent Hill Remake running on Unreal Engine 5
In the video below, Harry Mason begins by walking down a street covered in dense fog. Silent Hill remake shows the angle of the camera facing the back in the first part of the video, and the fixed camera angle in the second part, which starts after 1:46.
Codeless Studio’s Silent Hill Remake video doesn’t have much interaction, but its protagonist opens a door during the four-and-a-half minute process and has bloody scenes rendered with Unreal Engine 5 at several points.
The video is based on a pre-alpha structure, but manages to capture some atmospheric features of the original. However, it is not yet clear whether the project will move forward – and how Konami will potentially react to it.
Fans will be happy to make a new entry into the series, but Konami is not keen to announce anything since the cancellation of the PT.
