Pyramid Head, one of the most iconic villains in video game history, is undoubtedly the first character that comes to mind when it comes to Silent Hill. Masahiro Ito, who designed this great character, made a very interesting statement, I think someone must have him off.
Masahiro Ito, artistic director at Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3, said in a message on Twitter how much he regretted bringing Pyramid Head to life. “I wish I hadn’t designed fxxkin Pyramid Head,” Ito said , and immediately afterwards he said, “I’m not going to tell you why.” It’s a question of what caused such a revolt.
To those who thought it might be about money, it replied immediately:
“It’s not because I don’t get paid for the statues. I’ve never been paid anything for them,” he said.
It’s interesting that Ito came up with a message like that out of the blue. Maybe he’ll have the decency to explain why in the coming days, maybe this is all an attempt to get attention for a Silent Hill Remake, who knows?
We know Konami wants to resurrect the Silent Hill series, so sooner or later our path will cross paths with that Pyramid Head once again.
